Personalised healthcare in Latin America: Universalising the promise of innovation

Developments in information systems, data storage and analytical tools are radically increasing clinicians’ ability to deliver ever-more personalised care. This has led to the development of what is called “personalised” or “precision” medicine. The question then becomes, how can these technologies be introduced into healthcare systems in a sustainable and equitable fashion so that they can benefit all? The EIU report “Personalised Healthcare in Latin America: Universalising the promise of innovation” explores the current state of personalised healthcare in the region and sets out a call to action for policymakers.
