event recordingVirtual Event: The Double Burden of Disease: Maintaining NCDs Services amid COVID-19The EIU moderated a high-level virtual event on the margins of UNGA 75 entitled “The Double Burden of Disease: Maintaining NCDs Services amid COVID-19.” This event, sponsored by Viatris and hosted by the Business Council for International Understanding (BCIU), focussed on the near-term and potential generational impact COVID is having on non-communicable diseases, including funding and patient care. The event featured keynote remarks from Dr. Roberta Gatti of the World Bank Group, and a robust panel conversation which included representation from the CDC, DakshamA Health and Education, UNDP, and the University of Toronto.
